Film Lesson: ''Mountains of the Moon''

This film is about European explores that wanted to know where the Nile River had started from. The people of Arica had went and travled wit them. On this trip, they had been throw so much. They had goten attact so many times by the local villagers. They had went on two trips to africa. They had found a river at the first trip but to their suprize it wasnt the Nile River. Some of the people that went with them on this first trip got realy sick. On the second trip the comander got sick and then had to be carryed throw some of the trip. He couldnt walk and was in so much pain. He was left behind in a village, while the other people were on their way to find where the Nile River starts. While they were walking they came to a realy big lake. Thats when he know tha it was the Nile River, and he wanted to name it Lake Victoria. Lake Victoria is the third largest lake in the world. When one of the man came back to the village to see his comander he told him that he found the lake. But he didnt belive it. When they finaly came back to Europe after 6 months they went to name and say what they found. But when they came back, both the explorers had their own stuff to say. One of the two man was so made and had killed himself.

Karl Marx and Industrial Revolution

Karl Marx was borna jew, and his father had converted his family to Christianity so they could get a job. He didnt believe in god. Workers were controlled by religion, and he said "religion is the opiate of the peolpe." Marx had died in 1883. As for his ideas that formed in 1917. Mongolia had become the second communist nation in 1921. By the end of the war (world war II) many governments were overthrown by communists. He was mad that the people who worked in factories in Europe were being treated unfaer. The conditions in the factories were unsafe. He thought that the works instead of landlords should be the ones to control the factories, and also control the farms. He had works unite all over the world to fight for their rights. Karl Marx wrote "from each according to his abilities, to each according to his needs." He wrote this to show what wealth should have been. Marx's ideas were not used bycommunist countries.
